Picture

This is the picture that was supposed to be with the post below! I have no clue waht happened to it.......LOL.........................I still LIKE it ........VBS............

Quilt Emporium Picture

This is a pretty quilt that was hanging in the Quilt Emporium in Huston. I have no idea who made it but thought they done a good job and I love their choice of color. DH and me went looking for another shop we were told about yesterday, but when we found the place they were all gone, as in moved out!!! Shame on them. DH asked me where my Quilters Travel Companion was, and I had brought it in the motel room several days ago and left it, HOW DUMB CAN I BE?????? Anyhow we won't have another chance to go quilt shop looking while we are here. Hope to find something in San Antonio next week.
I was going to post our schedule for this week, but DH has it downstairs mapping out our stops for this week ( he's on the motel computer),So maybe later today or tomorrow, I am so looking forward to meeting some of you out there in blogland.
Hope everyone is quilting memories and DO hope DH will get the electricity working soon in the trailer. I think the problem is, he really doesn't know what he is doing (I don't mean that ugly, I truly don't think he knows what to do). We had a guy work on the generator while we were in Baton Rouge, but when he was through, it still didn't work the electricity!!!! Some one is not a happy camper.
It is pretty dark in there so I can't even cut out anything. OK, OK ,I know you are tired of me whining, so am going to finish getting dressed and get ready to get out of here.
Catch everyone later, I'm always (thinking about ) Quilting Memories!!!!!

No pictures

This has been an uneventful last 5 days as far as our traveling, just finished the weeks worth of work, and we both are sort of tired.I hate to say this because of the cold wet weather most everyone is having, we did heve rain for 3 days but it was at least warm. But today it has been HOT and we were outside, BUT I am not complaining, I prefer hot weather.
Tomorrow, I must do some laundry, and some bookwork, but mostly just try to relax.
I would like for all you out in blogland to pray for my friend Betty, she is having some major problems and is in the hospital. I understand she is doing a little better today but still has a long way to go.
Maybe Tuesday we can get out and see if we can find another quilt shop, something exciting to do.We still don't have any electricity in the trailer yet, WG is planning to see what he can do with that tomorrow also, so maybe next week we can get my "sewing studio on the go" up and running. Hope all of you are having a good weekend, will get back as soon as I have something more interesting to post about
Going to catch up on my blog reading, maybe some of the ladies will have news about the quilt show in Va. By now, J

Quilt Emporium, Stafford Texas

The top picture is a quilt made for the shop owners 50th birthday. Isn't it pretty? She wasn't working yesterday when we were there so didn't get to meet her.The two workers I did meet were Barbara(left) and Carole(right), both were very nice and helpful. The next two pics are fabrics I bought for me two more pillowcases for the road. Aren't they going to be pretty? I think so..VBS...
Now to tell the story of how we found???? this shop.. WG made the wrong turn and couldn't figure which way to go, so he pulled into this very small strip mall, and when we looked straight ahead we were facing their door..Was that luck or what???I went in and got directions and told ( Barbara) the very nice lady who gave me directions that I would be back the next day and I was there shortly after they opened. Baton Rouge, La.

Well, here we are in beautiful Baton Rouge, La. It has been sunny and warm today. We were supposed to to have bad storms so the event we were supposed to do was cancelled, will do one tomorrow, this one will be inside if the weather is bad. WE will be in Denham Springs at the Home Depot at 2255 Home Depot road. If you are in the neighborhood drop by and say Hi,I would love to meet you***VBS*** Next we head to Texas, will be in the Houston area for 2 weeks. Will be at Wal mart on Wed, Feb.20th,15995 fm529 Road 3-8 pm. Thurs, HD( home depot) 999 West North Loop.3-8pm . Will post the rest later. Do come see me, the Trailer above is what we will be in, you can't miss us.

I went shopping today at Hobby Lobby, this is what I bought , the fabric will be used for pillow cases to carry on the road with us,I thought they would be appropriate, with the states and the border will be Nascar , Hubby picked the fabrics ***VBS*** The jewelry hanger and the clock will be in my sewing room when I get back home. I think we are going to go home for Easter, we won't get to stay but 4 days, but at least I can see my kids and grandkids. Then we will not go back until the 4th of July.
Got to get up from here and take a shower, we have to be on the job in the am at 7, so will be up at 5:30 and that will be here before I turn around.
I do want to say, I finally found most of the blog sites I have been reading along with some new ones, so now I am a happy camper.
Take care, quilt memories for everyone you love, they will love you even more.

On the road again

This has been a long hard week, but we are now in Alabama, will go on toLa. tomorrow morning. It sure was hard leaving my children and grandchildren yesterday.I thought I would be able to handle leaving better, but guess I am just a wimp ****VBG***,The weather here is beautiful but the weatherman said it was going to start raining and turn cold tomorrow. Darn it.
I left home this morning wearing a sweatshirt and jacket.By the time we got here at 3:10 we were both sweating. So traveling was nice. Obviously nothing quilty, so am going to get off here and get a shower and relax for a while.

As a matter of fact I will enjoy hearing from each of you, but for now it will have to be by email as I am still having trouble with blogger. Stubborn Blogger

Will Not let me put pictures on here today, that is so aggravating ......GGGRRRRR.................
Hope all is having a good day, it is a beautiful sunny day in our neck of the woods! But kinda chilly.
The lump the Dr. found in my breast has been diagnosed as a "boil" like cyst and we are just going to "watch" it. It has gone down some, not as large as it was a couple weeks ago, and that is good.Dr. said not to worry and go on on our trip and enjoy ourselves, so am going to take his advice and do just that. I do want to thank everyone for their prayers, that surely does help.
Will try to post in the next day or so, I want to show what we will be in while we are traveling, that way if any of you should see us while you are out and about maybe you will feel comfortable stopping to say hello, and I do want to show "off" my little sewing room I will have in the trailer.
And, Yes to those who have asked, I am definitely going to take pics and post them. I am sure it won't be as nice nor as comfortable as being in my sewing room here, but anything is better than not being able to sew at all. I went to the LQS yesterday and purchased the fabric to make a baby quilt for the Great Grandson that will be here in July. I hope to get that done one of the first projects. I have planned so much quilting, that I know there is no way I can get it all done, but I do want to have options! You should see what all I have packed, I have 2 large bins full of stuff. Good thing I will have a lot of storage space!
Got to get off here, DD is coming over and we are going to lunch, and I have some things I want to do before she gets here.Take care, my friends and before too much longer I will be back quilting memories for my family. J

Made a mistake

OOPS,

That blog addy is Sew Original Gals.blogspot.com

Try it, I think you will like........*****VBG*****

I made a QUILT

Well now, I have made another quilt top, YEAH, for me!!!!!!!!Actually its a throw size, but I really do like it. This is the FIRST quilt I have made using a pattern without help.***VBS***
It will hang at the LQS for a while, after it is quilted. The LQS owner is going to get a local lady to quilt it for me while I am traveling......I will be anxious to get back home to see it all finished.
We had Super Souper Bowl Sunday at the LQS today, and I took it in when I went in to help them ( I keep the food on the table replenshed)ETC, and the top was immediately hung , they had cut some kits so that was good advertising. I think they sold some kits also, so that was good.I had a really good time, I love seeing all the customers and especially the ladies that work there. They are a really great bunch of people. It is a priviledge to be around them. They are all so knowledgeable, I am going to miss seeing them, but hopefully will keep in touch, either by phone or email. They also have a blog, you should visit it sometime, it's seworiginalgals.blogspot.com I think you will like what you find there.
We will be leaving here soon, headed to Baton Rouge, La. then on to Texas. In La, we will be at a Wal-mart , then at a Lowe's and a Home Depot. Come by and see us. We will have Carl Edwards show car on display.I wish I could tell you the addresses, but so far we haven't been told the exact addy, just go to Baton Rouge and we will get the info we need via email. I just LOVE heading somewhere that you aren't familiar with and do not have the address. As soon as I know the addy I will post it so you can come by, be sure to introduce yourself, I look forward to meeting a lot of new people and especially quilters, That will be awesome***VBS***. As we travel I am going to try to blog about where we are going next, as we will be all over the mid-west, so lots of people and new quilt shops to visit. Does anyone know where I can find shops in BR?
Would love to hear from you.........
Think I will get off here, am tired, going to rest in my recliner. Looking forward to hearing from some of you ladies, until we meet, how about quilting memories for someone you love..
