Pa, Quilt Shops # 4

Dose anyone in blogland have any idea how much fun I have been having? It is really hard to put into words...I am so thankful that I have a husband that is as willing as mine is to take me to all these shops. He even looks on the internet to find them for me ***VBS***

I am at Country Quilters, and they were a fabulous bunch of ladies and I just know going to classes there would be great fun....makes me miss my LQS all the more.

CQ has lots and lots of fabrics, books and notions, but look at the batting they have and that was just one wall, yep, theres another one....They also had lots of pretty quilts to look at. If you live around here or just find yourself somewhere around here, go by and visit, you definitely will be glad. As I told you in a previous post, I left all my info at home ( will be back there in 3 weeks), if you want the address or any info on any of these, just email me when we get home and I will send whatever we have. Please except my apologies. I guess I wouldn't make a very good reporter, cause I can't keep up with my notes......Must be senility...OH, WELL

keep on Quilting Memories, I am going to try to catch up with all of you when I get home.....

Here we are at Allentown Sewing Machine Outlet, they sell sewing machines ( Janome I THINK)

Plus a good variety of fabrics and lots of books and notions. I enjoyed talking to the owner, he was a very nice man and knew a lot about several kinds of machines..If I lived around here and needed my machined serviced, I would not hesitate to take mine to him....He had lots of quilts on display and they had lots of fall classes planned, I'm sure they will be very busy this fall. AND I met his DOG, a beautiful dog too, and friendly, I think he liked ME **VBS***. If you get a chance you should go see him ( the shop) not the dog ***VBS*** This shop is in Allentown, Pa.

Second Blog for today....Philadelphia Area shop

These ladies were the nicest people, I had such a nice time, a very warm welcome, lots of good conversation and LOTS of beautiful quilts and bags and etc. to see. This was a great weekend,

wish I could do this every weekend, wouldn't that be fun ??? If you are ever in the neighborhood , go visit this shop, you'll be very glad you did, it was wonderful. They have lots of classes, so lots of info there. Lots of patterns as well as books, anything you could possibly need. Great place.....I still have 5 more shops, but won't try to post them today, so come back tomorrow and remember, this is the second post for today, so check out the other one. I don't want you to miss any of these nice shops. Take care and stay busy Quilting Memories,

Byrne's Bernina, Doylestown, Pa

This is one of the shops we went to while in the Philadelphia area,

A nice shop, with lots of eye candy and lots of fabrics. Nice people also. Doylestown is such a quaint town, we enjoyed being there very much and I am sure you would enjoy visiting this shop. I felt like I was doing my own shop hop....That was great, especially since I have never been a part of a shop hop.....always thought that would be fun, and these two days certainly were fun **VBS**

There was several quilts on display, all were very well done, I especially liked the baby quilt. Maybe someday I will be able to just quilt until I can quilt no more, then I may get caught up. That sure would be nice, don't get me wrong, I do enjoy being on the road and being able to visit all these neat shops. I'm sure my time on the road is limited, as we aren't getting any younger...LOL... Keep on Quilting Memories, until I see you again,

Sew E Z Va.

Once again, I went to another neat shop,Will I ever get tired of visiting "NEW" shops? I doubt it.

This shop is also fairly close to my sister's in Carrollton, Va. But when I went left home to get back on the road, I cleaned out my purse and of course left all the business cards I had been given there as well as all my purchases, with my receipts with their addresses.....So if you want this address get in touch with me and I will call my sister and find out for you...Sorry, but that's the best I can do***VBF) (very big frown). Anyway this to, was a neat shop, had lots of fabrics and notions. I think you would enjoy taking the time to visit them. They were very nice and knowledgeable. they have lots of classes, with some different ideas for you to try. I was impressed, certainly will want to go back. I don't know if you have noticed, but when I visit my sister, I have a lot of places I "must go" . It's good that she is a quilter also. Her daughter is also a great sewer, she just does it all, right now she is making pocketbooks, but I hear that her best friend just adopted a baby , so I bet a baby quilt is in the works as I type this..

My neice is also trying to get herself a blog going, when she does I think you folks will enjoy it, she is a jack-of-all trades. She does beautiful photography as well, so when she gets all set up, go take a peek.

Well, time is running short, must change my clothes and get ready to get on the road...I am going to try to post about a couple of the shops I visited while in Philly, I am getting behind, so maybe if I do 2 post per day , I will get them all on here, I did see 7 really nice shops and you really need to enjoy them with me, but for now, just keep on QUILTING MEMORIES....

Nancy's Calico Patch, Newport News, Va.

This is my second favorite Quilt store,( Yes she knows)..I told her

This is a must see store the next time you are at the Quilt Show in Hampton, Va.She has always had a booth there, but you really need to see her store. It is GREAT.....so is she and all her personel, You will be glad you went.

My sister took me to this shop several years ago and I fell in love, yep, love at first sight. She and her staff has it all, classes, and lots and lots of beautiful fabrics as well as a great assortment of books and supplies. When you get there, ask to speak to Nancy, tell her Libby's sister sent you, she will know who you are talking about.***LOL*** I'm also sure if you have any questions she will be glad to answer them, if she is busy any of the staff will know the answers too. Pretty smart ladies, all of them....

This is the second shop my sister, neice and I went to on Saturday, Aug.8th.the other one I posted about 3 post back, and I will post about the 3rd one tomorrow. So keep checking, there's definitely more to come. I also went to 7 shops while in Pa., a couple weeks ago, but my computer hasn't been acting very nicely, so haven't been on here as much as I would have liked, but if you are enjoying my rambling on about shops, just " stay with me".

Tomorrow I will also post our schedule for this week, we are in Cleveland, Ohio now. So if you are from around here I would love to meet you.Until we meet again, keep quilting memories,
